Understanding CCE Sindh Exam: A Guide for Aspiring Candidates
What is CCE Sindh Exam
The CCE Stands for Combined Competitive Examination, also known as the PCS Sindh exam. It is one of the most important exams designed to select the best candidates for government jobs in Sindh. This exam is conducted by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC). The exam consists of an MPT test and a written test followed by an interview.
The Sindh government appoints candidates who pass this exam to important roles. Where they can contribute to the province’s development and administration. These positions include Assistant Commissioners, Section Officers, and other Grade 17 posts, which are crucial for the functioning of the government.

Eligibility Criteria of CCE Sindh
To appear in the CCE Sindh, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria, which include age, education, and nationality
CCE Sindh Age Limit
The age limit for the CCE Sindh is normally between 21 and 30 years. Education Requirement for CCE Sindh
Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The degree can be in any discipline. However, it must be obtained from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Some candidates may have postgraduate degrees, which can be an advantage but is not required for the exam.
Subjects in the CCE Sindh Exam
Here are the details about CCE Sindh’s subjects. Candidates must attempt all papers for the 600 marks allocated to compulsory subjects. Some are optional subjects, aspirants can select subjects of 400 marks from optional subjects.
Compulsory Subjects
- English Essay (100 marks)
- English Precis & Composition (100 marks)
- Sindhi/Urdu (100 marks). Note: you can select one subject either Sindhi or Urdu.
- Current Affairs & Pakistan Affairs (100 marks). Note: you have to select both.
- General Science & Ability (100 marks)
- Islamic Studies/Comparative Study of a major religion (100 marks). Note: Non-Muslims can select either Islamic studies or a comparative subject of a major religion.
Optional Subjects
The Central Competitive Examination (CCE) allows candidates to choose optional subjects from 7 groups, having 39 subjects. To meet the requirement of 400 marks, candidates can select subjects from any of these groups. However, they cannot select more than one subject from the same group, except for Group #2, where they can choose two subjects. There is no need to select a subject from every group, so candidates can choose subjects that best suit their strengths and interests while ensuring the total marks add up to 400.
