CSS 2027 Age Limit
The age limit for the CSS 2027 exam is 21 to 30 years.
To appear in CSS 2027:
- Your age must be at least 21 years
- Your age must not be more than 30 years
- The age will be counted on the official cut-off date set by FPSC
- The cut-off date for CSS 2027 exam is 31 December 2026
Candidates younger than 21 or older than 30 years on the cut-off date cannot apply for CSS 2027.
CSS 2027 Age Relaxation
Some candidates can get 2 years of age relaxation in the CSS exam. With age relaxation, the maximum age becomes 32 years instead of 30 years.
Who Can Get Age Relaxation in CSS 2027?
The following candidates can get two years of age relaxation as per FPSC rules:
(a) Scheduled Castes and Buddhist Community. Candidates belonging to the scheduled castes or the Buddhist community can get age relaxation.
They must provide a certificate issued by:
- Deputy Commissioner
- District Magistrate
- Or another authorized officer
(b) Candidates from Special Areas. Candidates belonging to recognized groups living in special areas of Pakistan can get age relaxation.
These areas include:
- Balochistan
- Tribal areas of D.I. Khan and Peshawar Divisions
- Excluded areas of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur
- Tribal regions of Mardan and Hazara Divisions
- Upper Tanawal Area of Hazara Division
Candidates must provide proof that their families permanently live in these areas.
(c) Candidates from Azad Kashmir. Candidates belonging to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) can get age relaxation. They must provide a certificate from the authorized AJK office.
(d) Candidates from Gilgit-Baltistan. Candidates from the following areas can also get age relaxation:
- Gilgit
- Diamir
- Baltistan
- Ghizer
- Ghanche
They must show a certificate from the Deputy Commissioner or another authorized officer.
Age Relaxation for Special Persons
(e) Special Persons / Disabled Candidates. Candidates with physical disabilities can get age relaxation, including:
- Hearing impairment
- Speech impairment
- Vision impairment
- Physical disability
A disability certificate from a federal or provincial government authority is required.
(f) Government Employees and Armed Forces Personnel. Government employees can get age relaxation if they have:
- At least 2 years of continuous government service
- Departmental permission to apply
